Top 4: Backyard Wedding Planning

Many couples have approached me with the question of whether or not to book an engagement photo shoot. I give them the same advice that I’m going to give you. YES! You absolutely should! Here’s why:

Comfort Level

It’s common to get a little nervous about being in front of a camera.

To avoid getting nervous for wedding day photos, I always recommend my couples test the waters in front of a camera. By doing an engagement shoot, you get the first time jitters out of the way and get to know your photographer!

This will also give your photographer a chance to get to know you and your relationship with your fiance. They’ll figure out the best way to loosen you up and make you feel at ease in front of the camera, well before the wedding date!

Your Taste

Looking at your professional photos will give you plenty of examples of which angles do and don’t work for you! Take note of the poses you liked and let your photographer know.

This will give you the extra boost of confidence before your wedding day!

Professional Prewedding Photos

There are so many uses for prewedding photos! Some use them for save the dates, wedding websites, receiving tables, engagement announcements, decorating their home or even as simple as giving them to family members.

Whatever the use may be, you can’t go wrong with more photos!

Most photographers offer packages that include engagement shoots or à la carte options. Speak with your photographer to see which option would work best for you!
